I'm not 100% back from the dead from all that went on at Aki-Con this year, but that being said, this year was fantastic and I had more fun than I can remember!  

Here begins my post-con bullet point recap.  My mind is still too scattered to think in paragraphs, so hopefully this will be easy and fun to follow along.

This year, my table mate was .  She was an awesome art buddy by the way, and for those who came by to her side of the booth, you'd know that her bookmarks are super!

We scored a nice spot right in the artists alley entry way.  After lugging ourselves out of our warm beds at 6am, I suppose that was our best reward.  We were prepared and brought thermoses of hot milk tea too, so we were sufficiently caffeinated before the masses came in.

WE WERE NOT NEXT TO THE ROCK BAND ARENA.  THIS SHOULD ALREADY SPEAK MILES.

This year, my side of the table was all about stickers, buttons, and commissions.  Most popular this year was Inuyasha (as a sticker), and Puff Cat (as a button).  I'm stoked because both of these were debut items this year, and I'm enthralled that they were well received. (TwT)

This year's commissions ranged from bishoujo drawings of Oh My Goddess!, to chibi couplings, to sexy bishounen bust-ups.  I even got to draw a fox lady in a wedding gown!  To Erik who commissioned me --> I hope she said "yes"!  (>w<)

I have officially decided that almost everyone in the Artists Alley is just AWESOME. The amount of AWESOME involved here cannot fit this journal entry, so let me just say I really, REALLY enjoyed meeting all of you (again), and thank you for being my neighbors for 30-some hours this past weekend!!  I could not have survived without you.

Hallo everyone <3

So I admit that I'm completely embarassed to admit, my last journal entry was almost exactly 1 year ago, right after LAST year's Aki-con, and here I am probably sounding like I'm some idle slob.  I really haven't been, but man, work sure does drain all those free hours (and not to mention, motivation too).  I hope some of you have taken a peek at my newest deviation entries and enjoyed what you saw.  I'm working on refining my style, you see!

That being said, I've been a busy bee getting myself prepped for this weekend's wee little Aki-Con event.  For those of you residing in Washington state, I hope to meet some new faces this year <3  Please come by my booth and talk nerdy/art with me!  I will be there with my friend .  And artist friends who I met last year, I really hope I'll find you guys -- please respond to this note if you read this!  (>w<)

This year, my features will be stickers and buttons!  My newest sticker set is the "classic bishounen" line, which includes Inuyasha, Kenshin, Kyo (Fruits Basket) and others.  I've also started my original button line, which is more or less a bunch of fluffy animals, so do stop by and take a look.  <3

It's been about a week since Akicon's happened, and I'm just now feeling like I'm fully rejuvenated from all the drawing marathons.  A few things that I noticed about this year's con:

I see you at every con! I missed you this year! (T_T)

I like to say that I "specialize" in drawing chibis and boobie ladies. But somehow, everybody at con wants me to draw manly men. That's totally fine, mind you, but I'M REALLY SORRY IF BUTCHERED YOUR COMMISSION. (TAT)

Aki con in general is a very young crowd. Being one of the few rarities of people who were over 20, it kind of killed me inside, but that's aside the point.  I'm finding more and more that the young ones are really hard to sell to, because...well....most of the time they don't have an income. OTL  But considering those circumstances, I did pretty well!

I'm thinking about slowly introducing more of my original artwork next year. Fan art is fun, and sells well, but it would be nice to maybe have a personal thing going, too.  

Finally, I met SO MANY AWESOME PEOPLE THIS YEAR <3  Thank you artists for being fun, friendly, sympathetic, and supportive. XD; And of couse, thank you to my awesome table mate Jade for displaying her pretty Jewelry trees / Jewelry (and making my table attractive).

CONGRATULATIONS (AND JADE WHO DOESN'T HAVE A DA) for surviving your FIRST ARTISTS ALLEY (>w<)/  You all did so well~


All you artists, it would make me psyched if we saw each other than at just cons. XD;;  Seeing as how we're all local, send me notes please <3

Good morning world!   

I have a confession.

I haven't drawn something legitimate in god knows how long, and Aki con is in two weeks.  Therefore I'm severely under practiced and it's kind of killing me inside.  OTL

But! There is always a good side to things, right?  This year, I'm featuring some new products at my AKICON 2010 artists alley booth!  For those who are in the Washington / Seattle area, I hope you come by and say hello~

school is one heck of a tidal wave (x_x)  but boy am I glad that this quarter is almost over!

I have quite a few things in the works, but the biggest of them all:

SAKURA-CON 2010 is almost here-!!  On April 2-4th, Seattle, myself and will be at Artists Alley selling our wares.  come by and say hi if you can~  

we're doing something a smidge different this year, and that's a collaboration project between the two of us and .  we're doing Chinese zodiac keychains~  you can see our work here!
